All pitches are pre-allocated in a defined area. You have the exclusive right to occupy your allocated pitch until 2.30pm and to be off site by 3pm at the latest.
A copy of these terms and conditions are available on the gate of Capital Carboot Sale and apply to those booking their stalls on the day, online and also buyers entering the site.
By booking a stall with Capital CB Ltd online or on the day of the event, you declare and agree that you are an individual member of the public attending the event with the purpose of selling your own personal second hand property, and not a professional stallholder, exhibitor, contractor, or supplier.
All rubbish and unsold items must go home with you - we do not have a rubbish disposal facility at the site. CCTV operates on site. You will be charged £10 per item that you leave - including boxes. Please bring bin liners for you to take your own rubbish home. Fly tipping and littering are an illegal offence.
The whole site is no smoking both indoors and outdoors. Anyone found smoking on site will be asked to leave the site immediately and without compensation.
Walk and drive and drop courtyard sellers agree to adhere to the strict 4x4m allocated pitch size within the allocated courtyard space. Pitches are given or taken on a first come first served basis. Those with pitches over this size will be charged for an additional pitch at a rate of £10 per pitch. Users agree and have the right to exclusively occupy this space from 9.30am (for car drop offs), or 10.15am for 'walk ins', until 2.30pm. This also applies to those paying for their pitch on the day.
If coming in a car to unload you agree to arrive between 9.30am-10am to set up at the Chichester street entrance of the school - please note you will not be granted entry any earlier than this time, nor after 10.00am. You agree that cars will be off site and placed onto free on street parking by 10.00am. You agree to not arrive to queue any earlier than this time or you will be asked to move on - we cannot allow queues to disturb local residents. You agree that you are only allowed one car on site to unload, with one load for each stall.
Sellers agree to occupy, and only occupy their allocated pitch. Failure to do so will result in an additional charge for an additional pitch.
Sellers who set up in prohibited spaces (e.g. in front of fire exits) will be asked to move with immediate effect.
Sellers and buyers who illegally park on double yellow lines, in disabled spaces, blocking entrances, or in any other manner that management or staff at Capital Carboot Sale deem to be illegal or inconsiderate to local residents will be denied entry to Capital Carboot sale until vehicles are parked in a satisfactory or legal manner.
Sellers and buyers who chain bikes to residents railings will not be allowed entry to Capital Carboot Sale. There is an area to chain bikes inside Capital Carboot Sale. Cyclists agree to dismount upon entry to Capital Carboot Sale.
Outdoor sellers with vehicle, car or van, to remain on site, agree that they are unable to leave the site until 2.30pm, and after this time that you are unable to leave until a member of Capital Carboot staff has acknowledged that it is safe for you to do so.
We regret that we do not accept entry payment in copper coins.
Alcohol is not permitted anywhere on site - for sale or consumption.
All under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
In case of rain... bring a brolly! Capital Carboot Sale operates in all weather - come rain or shine! (However, in the case of extreme weather conditions and the event that we have to cancel an event, we will notify booked sellers via text or email up to one hour prior to the event - please check prior to the event).
Refunds will not be given in any circumstances should you fail to take up your stall.
Stalls and dates are non transferrable under any circumstances.
Capital Cb Ltd does not take responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen goods.
Goods bought or sold at Capital Carboot Sale are at vendors and customers own risk and are not directly linked to the Capital Carboot Sale. We do not take responsibility for the goods sold.
Capital Cb Ltd and its staff reserve the right to decline entry to anyone at their own discretion regardless of whether an entry fee as a seller or buyer has been already paid, and without refund or compensation.
Animals are not allowed on site without permission from Capital Cb Ltd, which may be withheld or withdrawn at the discretion of Capital Carboot and its staff. This decision is final.
Vendors selling the outlined goods will be asked to leave and will not be refunded for their stall: illegal items, alcohol, illegal substances, stolen goods, food and drink goods, any item deemed to be a weapon - including kitchen knives, counterfeit goods, pornographic material or any material deemed offensive by management.
Stall holders agree to vacate the premises with all their belongings and property by 3.30pm. Failure to do so will result in overtime being charged to your payment details of £5 per 10 minutes.
Any items left at the end of the sale will be disposed of by 4pm of the day of the sale, without compensation.
The decision of Capital Carboot Sale's management is final and terms and conditions are subject to change without notification and at any time.
